OP, would you do me a BIG favor and correct your title, it's Trudeau not "Truedau".

TIA. :)

A deal is when something is at a lower price of what it's usually at. This is usually for $10+, so you're saving at least 60%

Their opinion of the product or of our PM is irrelevant.

Dont seem to understand this deal - it doesnt work for pepper since it uses plastic gears (normal for the price) . It is Just for Chili. Isnt chili already in flakes or very small? What's the point of grinding already grinded or small flakes?

plastic gear is good with rock salt, sea salt,. large salts....no corrosions.

Trudeau is a good company...especially for the warranty. my experience.

Same here. Clogged mill is very annoying.

Reason it's called a chili mill and not a pepper mill

I have owed Trudeau Salt and Pepper Mills for about 25 years. Here is comparison of the bottoms of all three. From the looks of it, will not grind pepper but should handle salt just fine.

I believe it's for the gourmets out there who prefer to fill it with WHOLE dried red chilies. Which is also why this is a plastic mill since dried chilies are easy to mill.

I bet many many will dump the chili flakes, fill with pepper and then complain that this is dollar store garbage because it does not work.

A better deal is the battery powered one that goes on sale at CT every few months for $6.

I'm really interested to use it for the chilli flakes, I didn't know you could grind them, never tried that before.

If this uses plastic parts then I don't see it lasting long for grinding things like peppercorns. I'd spend the money elsewhere for one with metal gears.
Tis banana is IRIE 😎

Thanks OP for this info even though I haven't found one (yet?). Checked two Dollaramas, and no go.

Sure it may be attractive and look good at first glance, but it doesn't always work in practice and there can be more problems in the long run. And all you really get is flakes.
