[Dollarama] USB Type-C & Micro USB 10ft (3M) cable support quick charge $4

Very good quality USB Type-C cable, 10ft long. I test it with my Mate 20 pro, support quick charge (not supercharge).

It's very good price for the quality and lenght. After I found out it work well I went back and grab several more. Located at the cables area.

So many dollarama deals recently, the quality seems improve a lot in recent years. Cheap and excellent quality.

I personally do not trust cheap no-name cables for QCing (normal charging, say, < 2.4A is alright) ... considering the cost of the devices on both ends is substantially higher than the cable itself ... pure subjective opinion ...

I am not worried about cable, but battery. I bought many no-name cables on Amazon, some are good some are bad. Need to give new comer some chances right? Why pay double for same or worse quality in this case?

I tried quite a few cables (microUSB 2.0 mainly) for QC 2.0 ... I found a couple no-name ones heat up considerably on the contact ends. Don't feel too comfortable with them. On the other hand, certain "name brand" ones (Aukey, Ugreen, Orico from China) with thicker power wires do not appear to suffer the same issue.

For USB C, I go a bit overboard with 3A (or even 5A) rated ones. You never know what my family members will use the cables for .... ;) ... Just in case ...

We'll la di da, must be nice. Unfortunately I have a dog that loves to pull my phone cables out from behind the bed and chew on them daily.

I'll need to grab 5 of these.

FYI I do exercise them plenty and have the charger on a time so they can't get shocked.

What's the wattage rating on these? (Assuming they have been spec-ed and tested properly to have such figures available)

Turrono, eh!
package says high speed and 2.0A rating.
I just picked one up today but haven't tried it yet. Plenty of black and white ones at the dollartree at West Side Mall (Eglinton Ave W & Caledonia) i will and will post up my findings if anyone cares.

It's very strange,

I was exactly looking for a 10ft usb cable on ebay...then bam! This thread appears from no were.

Thanks op, would have cost me 4$ from china, but 1+ months of transit. Instead, ill just go to Dollarama and have it instantly.

My Pixel 3 is saying "Fast Charge" just like the OEM cable.

Thanks. So that's just 10 watts then (assuming @ 5v).

QC 2.0 works on a multi-voltage charging system offering 5V, 9V and 12V, therefore allowing faster charging at a lower amperage, thus extracting higher performance from a lower quality/amperage cable.
My phone (with QC 2.0) charges much faster at 12V and 1.5A using a cheap, thin, $1 eBay cable, compared to normal (non QC 2,0) charging at 5V and 2.4A using the best and thickest $50 brand-name cable.

It should be ok if it has a 56k ohm resistor, otherwise I wouldn't risk using them.

I might be wrong, but I don't think Xtreme is a "no-name" brand.

http://www.xtremecables.net/index.aspx

might buy one or two, as my cat decided its a good idea to chew on my charging cable...
