Driving on winter tires all year round

So basically I am looking for either all-weather or winter tires for my old sentra econobox. The reason I am asking this question is that I dont have storage space for my current tires (worn out all seasons). While I am aware of all-weather tires, I see them being more expensive than winter tires.

Is it actually feasible to drive on winter tires all year round. Does the summer performance degrade a lot / tires get worn out too fast to warrant a tire change each year?

Thank you!

Winter tires in the summer is unsafe. Plain and simple. It's stupid from an economical sense and safety stance. If your going that route get all seasons.

If you have to make a compromise imo it would be better to use all weather rather than winter tires all through the year.
Isn't it great to live in the 21st century where deleting history has become more important than making it.

I just put some new all weather on my beater that I will do 4000km per year. Will let you know how they fair. Fyi, I ran all winter before and if you do low kms, it won't make any difference. What everyone here is saying, don't do it if you do 20000 kms per year as they will be bald in first or 2nd season.

There are a ton of tire shops who will store your tires. I've seen prices around $100, not sure on the exact pricing since I have never looked into this service.

Err what A/S are good in winter? Maybe for the first season you can go by with new threads.

According to OP in Antarctica winter tires won't do any good either.

You would be much better off with all weather tires. All seasons are not very good in the winter.
