Is a drop to a 24" laundry set that big of a step down from 27"?

I live in a 900 sq ft condo with my GF and two cats. Our existing laundry center is 22 years old and is a standard 27" stacked size and we are looking to replace it. It is located in a closet.

We have been considering a 24" set instead of a 27" set so we can utilize the extra space for more storage. I do realize that the size of the tub will be smaller but the largest piece of laundry we may do is blankets and comforter/duvet. Has anyone downgraded their laundry set size care to comment?

Also, how is Blomberg as a brand?

Thanks!

the 24 you are getting will be better

it will wash much better.
the tub will be similar size since you will lose the agitator stick

with that said -- if you can install a 27 -- they tend to be cheaper and better and the dryers are vented so i would rather to do that.
