Not sure how much of a deal this is. These are always $30 USD on the Koss website. https://www.koss.com/headphones/on-ear- ... nes/kph30i

Plus you get 15% off when you sign up for there newsletter so it works out to $25.50 USD and free shipping.

I've had these headphones for at least a year now and they are great. For what they cost, you'll never find anything that sounds better.

And I'd love to find a deal on those yaxi pads.

This is good to know.

They were sold out the last few times I checked and the hovered $60-70 CAD on Canada Amazon. There was a thread about $30 at London Drugs, but they're mostly in stock in prarise.

$20 headphone and the pads are $20 then it’s 40. At this point, might as well get a 50 headphone. I thought about it, i might as well skip it and use what I currently have.

Zeos hypes everything up too much. I have bought stuff after watching his reviews only to be fairly disappointed. He is entertaining though.

So I heard too. Care to share which item? Some stuff he’s on point but I wonder because someone else reviewed it before him.

From what I bought over the last few months and what I remember of his reviews.

Very good headphones but over hyped, zeos made these things seem like they would cure cancer: ESP 95X, LCDX
slightly over hyped: Elex
Bang on: HE4XX

All great headphones but some are better deals than others.

That's a lot of expensive headphones to just buy in a few months. You starting a collection? Lol

I only head of the HE4XX. My VP has the Elex, he said it's one of the better headphones he's heard and he has quite a few. The other ones I don't know much about. My next pair, I'm eyeing Dan Clark Audio Aeon Open I think...

The foam ear pads deteriorate after a year or so and needs to be replaced. You have to pop open the case for the drivers to do this. Not difficult.

Anyway to plug into PC mobo audio ports and to make both earphone and mic work? Any splitter available?

I kinda went a little crazy, haven't been in the game for 10 ish years, I bought a new DAC/amp it spurred me to buy a bunch of stuff.
I also bought those AKG K3003 that were on sale here a while ago. Was also really close to pulling the trigger on the TH 900 but figured I’d wait for the massdrop variants to surface again and save some cash.

I had over 30 pairs at the high point, and now I'm sitting at something reasonable (jk) like 15 pairs.

Headphones are like drugs.

I picked up a set of KP30IK from London Drugs on Jan 20th for $29.99 before taxes. Managers special deal which I think I saw it here on RFD.

How do I like them? Mmmmm.... too much clamp force for my big noggin. I need to check out that pad mod mentioned above,

I prefer my JVC HA-S160-B set which I also picked up on sale at London Drugs back in Nov 2019 for $14.99 before taxes.

I also own HiFiman HE400i planars and BLON BL-03 IEM's which are accompanied by a Schiit Magni 2 headphone amp and a SMSL M100 DAC.

So except for the Hifiman's, I'm a thrifty audio-not-quite-phile.

I use the JVC's the most because they are just so dang light with an "adjustable" clamp force that allows me to wear them all day (somewhere around 6 hours a day). When positioned correctly they have a nice balanced sound.

Where would you get your short RCA these days if we want to support local vendors?

Never bought from Drop before, am I likely to get dinged additional shipping or brokerage if I bought two pairs?

Probably a Canada computers, prime cables or something like that.
Also depends if you believe in expensive cables :)
cause if you do then a high end audio store like baybloor, the headphonebar would probably sell the audioquest.
if you prefer the DIY route, I heard these guys are good

Yes, you will almost certainly pay additional taxes.
I have been dinged for purchases as low as $40. I think the rule is that if it ships from Drop themselves you are getting charged 100% but if it ships from a third party vendor or something YMMV.

You mean "short RCA" as in "1 foot RCA to RCA"?
