dyson dc35 charger question & is 100$ a good deal ?

I bought a dyson (dc35) floor model at HD today for 100$. with no accessories. just the vacuum with long tube and the rotated head. I am not sure if it is a good deal. But they told me i can refund it if i dont like it. But before i return it. I need to test it. Does anyone know can i plug a 18v charger from my laptop to this 24v vacuum (i tried the head can fit in)? ,,
