I bought a dyson (dc35) floor model at HD today for 100$. with no accessories. just the vacuum with long tube and the rotated head. I am not sure if it is a good deal. But they told me i can refund it if i dont like it. But before i return it. I need to test it. Does anyone know can i plug a 18v charger from my laptop to this 24v vacuum (i tried the head can fit in)? ,,

thanks

No, don't do it. The charger is Dyson-specific. The charger's output is listed as 24.35v @ 348ma or 16.75v @ 348ma. The battery is lithium cobalt or something like that.

We have a dc35 Dyson and it is good for quick cleans but you still need a more powerful unit for a solid vacuuming.
It will not work without the proper charging cradle, the charge will not be sufficient, if at all. Take it back.
