[Dyson] [Boxing Day] Dyson Boxing Week Event - More models with discounts

Looks like Dyson has more cordless vacuums with deeper discounts under the Boxing week event.
At the time of posting I see free expedited shipping on most models. Looks like a better deal than Costco. For e.g. the Dyson v15 Detect Total Clean is now at $799

Thanks OP! Just called into Dyson and they price matched the order I put in on Dec 13 when there was the 12% Rakuten. Let's see now if Rakuten will claw back some of the money.

I’m glad I waited and didn’t pull trigger yet.

V12 or V15 for someone with a two story house and 99% hard wood flooring.

Is there any difference between the two V15 models?

Good prices - the $799.99 for the V15 was actually the refurb pricing. I checked the outlet page and they haven't lowered the price of the refurb, meaning the new and refurb versions of the V15 are currently the same price - $799.99, lol.

My V10 refurb just arrived and looks brand new. It's still $429 on the site.

I'm now trying to take apart my old one to salvage parts after I borked it up cleaning up a fish oil spill. I'll either use the old docking station as a secondary one for upstairs or try and frankenstein a whole second unit with parts from the site.

Does your refurb V10 have the de-tangle vanes in the motor bar?

Not sure what you're speaking of...The bin is larger than my old v10 cyclone and the head is apparently an improved "torque" drive over my old direct drive. It has some kind of dual retractable "claws" that look functional for deeper carpet cleaning.

From my online chat with the DYSON rep, it looks like I can replace the main unit and bin (the parts that I can't get the stink out of) for $183 taxes and shipping included. The docking station, battery, filter, wand and attachments are all still fine, so I consult with the wife but I think she'll be happy with a second unit for upstairs.

So my bone headed mistake will ultimately set me back a total of $667, but we'll end up with 2 perfectly functioning units...

Most of the models offered on the Dyson website (even the v8's) have the "43 de-tangling vanes automatically clear wrapped hair from the brush bar as you clean." feature in their Motorbar cleaner head. Maybe its an upgraded motorhead that they are providing now. But I didn't see that feature in the refurbished models.

OK, so my last online chat person indicates that the part number for the main v10 unit INCLUDES the dustbin... so It's only going to cost me $138 taxes in. The wife now says it was actually worth it for me to break my vacuum so that we can have 2 units...

A wife that actually makes you feel good about your screw ups...priceless...

I got the v12 and it’s meant for a smaller space. The dust collection bin isn’t big and I have empty it after every vacuum of the whole house; 3 bedrooms, hallway, kitchen and living room. My place isn’t large <1000 sqft. It works extremely well but if you have a larger space or want to go longer between emptying the dust collection bin, grab the v15.

V12 = v15, a bit less suction and smaller bin at a high level comparison.

Good luck!

Ugh, frustrating, not sure what to do. I ordered the V15 at $850, but the 12% rakuten didn't work, hasn't shown up, and have heard nothing back about a support request on it. The V15 sale ends today at cost for $830 (which is cheaper if no rakuten). Now it's $800 via Dyson so yes I could get the price match I believe, but still 0 rakuten and wondering if $30 less is worth not getting the extra attachments in the Costco bundle. Ahhhhhh

Get the price adjustment from Dyson. Let it arrive and message Rakuten with your order number etc, they will let you know if the cashback will be given at that point. If they don't give it, then it's up to you if you want to keep it or return the vacuum and wait for better cashback time, which I guess will come around boxing day. However, they might be oos of the v15 by then, so no guarantees.
