[Costco] Dyson V15 Detect Total Clean Extra Vacuum for $929.99

I just found that Costco.ca has new Dyson v15 which has 3 extra tools than Dyson.ca. If you have previous $200 online voucher I think it’s not bad deal .

I don’t understand why it’s bad product/service, if it’s downvoted by not good price make more sense.

People don't understand why someone would spend $300 on a vacuum when it just "sucks up dust" like just like the $50 Hoover they bought 25 years ago at an estate sale. Much less a premium (define that as you will) product that costs even more than that.

I will say this is a good price for this product, especially when you factor in Costco warranty and 2% rewards for executive members.

I bought this a couple weeks ago (version with the HEPA filter) and I've found it great, and even my fiancé loves it and she falls in the above category. It may not be a "better" vacuum than a plug in or others other there, but it's a joy to use and super convenient. So for me, that definitely worth the premium because now I'm doing it more regularly vs on a quarterly basis lol

Ignore the down votes. I get them all the time.

Even when I post items at sale prices I get down votes.

The ones that are downvoting are probably ones that never post deals to begin with. Only stalking RFD to buy for their selfish self and possibly to resell to make a few bucks.

I'd say this is typical dyson hype, but I havent tried it. 1000 is kind of ridiculous for a small vaccum like that. Unless you need "lasers" to see dust :)
But this isnt a deal, this is the standard price.

There are a few specific members here that downvote all Costco deals. Started to notice with the inferno_gn weekly Costco deals thread. I posted a clearance Costco deal last year and same thing happened. Best to ignore them.

Can't really comment on the deal you posted though as those prices are out of my range for a vacuum. Gave you an upvote regardless.

The HEPA filter isn't standard will all of these Dysons?

Good lord.

Diminishing returns, but to each their own.

Dyson is a king of marketing.

Is the laser on the v15 and worth the premium price over the v11? Does this have noticeably better suction compared to the v11? I have the v10 but after two years it cannot handle cleaning a whole floor anymore and having to use my corded shark is a pain. What i really like is the replaceable batteries on some v11 and the v15

I’m super glad to see Costco offering the v15, I’m just disappointed it’s not the two battery model!

Some people may have bad experience from Dyson. Besides this is regular Costco price, not really a deal but thanks for letting us know V15 is now available from Costco.

Pretty much this.

Don't get me wrong I love my V11 Absolute from the Canadian Tire debacle (good times lol) but at $1000+ it doesn't make sense to me.

Not to mention that the suction increases have been marginal and they are just looking for cheap (for them) ways to increase price...such as this special mattress head (almost identical to the mini head on other models)

Its suction is a few percent more than the newer v11 with detachable battery. It has a sensor to detect and report different sizes of particle matters collected and the sensor is used to provide a true auto mode that improves both battery life and performance.

There is a minor hair detangle improvement in the torque head but no obvious real life improvement other than producing more hiss noise. It comes with new hair screw mini-brush.

The more expensive V15 has better true HEPA filter than all other Dysons cordless vac and a new lighted crevice tool.

I saw an European model that has an integrated dust brush on the body, that would be a killer design, hope it will make it to Canada next year.

I have the V11 from Costco with the removeable battery and thing is a BEAST!

Got it when they were on sale + the $100 coupon back in June.

Was considering the V15 at the time, but from what I read and watch on youtube it was worth double the price for a fraction more suction and a laser.

anyone have an idea when the dyson omni would come to costco?

I have a miele C3, but a quick hardwood cleaner can be useful and the dyson omni (or micro) look intriguing

Correct, it comes standard with the Detect Absolute - it's identifiable as it's teal vs purple. Though, I suspect they're very close in actual performance. I think the absolute can pick up more of the even finer microns of dirt.

I’m not upvoting or downvoting, but I have now decided to steer clear of Dyson.

I’ve never known anyone that’s had one for more than a few years without consistent problems that fall outside of the warranty. I’ve owned four, and they’ve all broken for some pointless reason despite always being cleaned etc. My v10 literally just crapped out because the bin was held in place by a tiny bit of plastic. And as you would guess, that tiny bit is only warrantied for one year… “but we’ll give you 20% off if you buy another product from us”. No thanks.

Great products for power, but overpriced considering they have major flaws. I’d advise to look somewhere else.

I genuinely have no idea how they are still successful. They just have a wonderful marketing team. I wish they’d spend some of that money on making a product that actually lasts…

The only V11 with a removable battery is the V11 Outsize, I don't think Costco ever sold that.

The Dyson V15 Absolute from Dyson website is much better deal if you have a big house or alot of high carpet. More accessories and includes an additional battery for $200 more (the battery itself is $200).
