Early 2015 Macbook Air Compatible SSD

I recently got an Macbook Air for free.
It's perfect for the kids, but the storage is only 128GB.
I want to upgrade to at least 500GB SSD.
Anyone have any ideas which SSDs are compatible with this model?

You could use a NGFF M.2 nVME SSD adaptor

Crucial P1, Intel 660p, Samsung 970 Evo should be compatible

You have a few options for upgrading the drive in the Macbook Air.

You could stick with Apple OEM drives (which are typically pulled from another MacBook) like the 512GB MZ-jpv5120 or the 1TB MZ-KPV1T00.

Or you could go with a third party NVMe drive that was designed specifically for the MacBook Pro/Macbook Air such as the OWC Aura Pro X2 (240GB - 2TB).

There is also the option of buying a regular PC NVMe drive and acquiring an the SinTech (or any other similar brand) NGFF NVMe adapter. The adapter allows the NVMe Drive to be installed since apple employed a proprietary connector for the drive on the motherboard.

Hope this helps.
