For the past couple of days I am checking various outdoor shops trying to find a good deal on a 12G semi or pump action and came across this .410 lever action deal. I am not looking for a .410 but thot I should share it my fellow RFDers.

Edit 6 Sep 2019: Looks like its out of stock. The link is not working anymore. And a special thanks to the people who downvote just because the deal is for a firearm. I will move this thread to expired deals now.

Still believe O/U are the way to go.
Expensive though.

I'm partial to o/u's too, but for something like this to carry around hunting I think the lever is better suited. More shots if you happen upon a covey, lighter in hand, and you can carry it loaded but decocked or empty chamber and still get off a quick pop.
Great deal, if it were 20g I'd be all over it.

+1 to that. Lever actions are convenient for sure.

Ditto. No want for a 410 really, but I LOVE me some lever 20ga.

Ok can someone who is into these weapons explain why I would want a 410?

I mean I had a normal 12ga... but whats the deal with 410?

I own a Mossberg pump .410, it is a fun clay shooter. I have a 13 year old son, and he will shoot it without being scared of it. If it wasn't for him it would have been a 20 gauge.

If any experts are reading this what’s a good shotgun all rounder? Something I can use for trap and skeet/sporting clays and also for 3 gun competition if I go that way? I have no interest in hunting and would rather only get one shotgun. Semi auto Remington 870?
