[EB Games] Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4, XBox, PC) $29.99

Xbox

PS4

Might be lowest price to date, tho we should be able to see it hit 19.99 or 9.99 mark later. PS4 and xbox also at this price at Bestbuy, i imagine other retailers too.

Edit: added digital downloads to PC version.

Game was a let-down but still fun to play, even with the bugs. Great storyline, it's just a shame it was so rushed. A great play at this price.

Stupid question but is PC version just a code for steam? Can’t remember the last time I bought a retail game... maybe half life 2.

Worth a play but adjust expectations accordingly. Decent first person RPG, but not the second coming of gaming people thought it was going to be.

I pre-ordered CP2077 for 34$ before it came out and I still regret it to this day.

Agreed, it was not what I was expecting but still a great value for $30, I played the PC version.

Because EBGames isn't selling the digital code. Its the game case with no game disc, just a piece of paper with the code to claim a digital copy.

Will wait for the Epic Games free release probably as soon as some expansion pack/DLC crap is released. This game doesn't deserve our money as its still a broken mess IMHO.

Why would there be no game disc ?

Seems like it’s the physical version

edit : I thought it was ps4 version discussed

Pretty much every Physical PC version in the last 3 years doesn't include a game disc. If you check their PC section, all the front covers of recent releases say "Digital Download" and "No Disc Included".

If you're making a product for an audience that doesn't have DVD drives anymore--let alone Blu-ray or UHD Blu-ray--why produce a disc that will probably just be a link to the website or an online-required installer anyway? You're not fitting anything vital for a 70 GB+ game on an 8.5 GB disc.

The main reason PC games still get physical releases is probably for retailer visibility. Beyond providing the case and redemption code, anything else is an added cost.

On the customer end, a disc doesn't provide value for resale/ownership like on consoles, preservation since the game is barely there, or helping people with slow or capped internet. It's maybe valuable from a collector's standpoint, to look at, sometimes. But that's a small portion of a small audience who would care, and the case does most of the job of being a tangible item.
