What does "lel" mean?
It's French for "lol".

EBgames is not a game shop anymore.
It’s a collectible shop which sells game also.
Yeah, I always look behind the stacks of Funko figures to see if any videogames dropped back there.

Seriously, I was in one downtown and I had to ask where the games were. It was just a mass of Funkos, shirts, board games, accessories, loot boxes, and all manner of pop culture crap.

Kelowna, British Col…
I was hoping for a good boardgame that's not monopoly. I think I have bought 3 monopoly dames from them in the last two months.

lel Guns of the Patriots before it goes free on PS+ next week
Some people like to actually own their games, be they physical or digital, not have "free" non-free copies.

I don't want to demoralize anyone who collects POP's for a hobby but I can't see them as anymore than landfill material as time goes on.
I wish Ebgames Canada would expand into the retro market but I get why they've killed their brand for short term game with all the pop culture crapola.

EBgames is my daughters new favourite store because of all the L.O.L. dolls.

Seems like a waste of money. Will end up in a dusty box in a few years

I don't know how people think these pops will be worth anything in years. Near guarantee they will be worthless when the fad is over.

And?

They sell both, so you can buy both if you want or not.

I dont think many people buy them for the money. I buy them because they're relatively cheap and pretty cool versions of movie and TV characters we like.

Getting tired of all the Pops figures. Not much room for any more that I might like. End up being more dust collectors. Thanks anyway...
Before they became popular in Canada and while our dollar was strong I remember seeing deals like 3 for 10 and 3 for 12 at Fanexpo. I collected a few back then but they started collecting dust next to my nicer collectibles. I feel like they are this generations version of Pogs
