I can say for certain they don't pay you to remove your 1 star review.

I still can't get myself to purchase this knowing there will be 2/3 more volumes coming out. I feel inclined to just wait out the 10 years until I'm in my 40's to finally get it. Like when Bart finally sees the Itch and Scratchy movie as an old man with Homer.

Yes but it is being split up into multiple games. No idea how many and how long it would take for the entire series to be finished.

It's a sequel and not a direct one-to-one remake.
Yes the combat system and other things are completely different.

The game is really well done and is almost 50 hours long. I don’t see what the complaint here is, it’s not like they’re giving you 5 hrs of content for full price.

This is almost a entirely new game and is a remake in name only and I expect part 2/3 to differ even more.

This is the same as playing the new God of War knowing full well they plan on making it a trilogy or going to watch a movie series, I think people are just hung up on the fact that it’s a remake of the original and therefore it should include everything in it, not knowing it’s length or the new stuff they’ve added.

I haven’t played the original but I did go back and look at the differences between the two.

If you're asking if they blasphemize the game and took the soul out of it, no they didn't, they kept it fairly close to the original, they did make the pace of the game slower tho without it feeling like it's slower.

This was actually a decent remake

Yes but it is only the midgar part of the game. It was announced to be 3 parts years ago. Now it may be even more parts and who knows how long it will take to complete all parts.
