[EB Games] Free Xbox One Controller When You Buy Turtle Beach 50 Recon Headset

Until October 24, buy an EB Exclusive Turtle Beach 50 Recon Gaming Headset and get a free Xbox Red or Volcano Red controller for $99 99!

Actually save $30 when you buy it as a bundle.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

A bit misleading ad.

It makes it sound like BUY THIS AND GET THIS. But it really is a bundle price.

MSRP of the headset is 54.99, controller is 74.99/79.99, but they want you to pay 99.99 to get the controller for "free".

How is it misleading at all? It literally says buy both items for 99.99. It's obviously a bundle and never once claims the controller is free

He means OP's title. Which I should point out doesn't even include the price.

Edit: Yeah even the ad implies buy one get one free

The free is heavily implied. The wording is misleading.

To simplify the actual wording:

'Buy Item A and get Item B or Item C.'

Our brains tack on 'for free' at the end of that statement because in the context of this promo, its misleading otherwise.

If I buy item A (the headset) at MSRP I get nothing except a possible discount on item B or C, but I don't actually GET item B and C as the wording applies.
RFD: Pick any two.

"Buy a Red Turtle Beach Recon 50 Headset and get a Red or Volcano Red Xbox One Wireless Controller!"
I think that's the key, and I'd say it's fair to call that a bit misleading.

Amazon's historical low for the headset is $38 and the black Xbox One controller went for $45 during Black Friday last year. You're probably better off waiting for Black Friday next month.

Nothing is implied. The ad literally says buy A and B for $99.99. It's a bundle price and overall you're saving $30. Still a great deal no matter how many people whine about semantics

You might want to edit/change this so that it's not a racial slur.

Just looked on ebgames website headset is on sale for $40 if you buy separately. picked one up no controller tho

https://www.ebgames.ca/Accessories/Game ... -exclusive
Is that the PC version? Doesn't say what connector it has, but it doesn't have the x after it.
Sorry, just looking at Amazon listing that has P, X and no letter... wondered if a PC version had USB instead of 3.5mm plug.

Also, anyone know if there is any benefit to having these if I already have a pair of XO3's? I am thinking of a second set of headphones though for second player.
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

The second rule of RFD is, you DO NOT talk about RFD.

Where’s the “race” part?
