12.99 for the controller (super short cord) another 10 to 15 dollars for extension cord.... say $25 dollars total. Just buy yourself a wireless one for 24.99 or the good 8bitdo for 34.99 that is rechargeable and uses 2.4GHz frequency. I understand people like the original stuff, but if you are having trouble finding them, the 3rd party ones are actually better. Thanks though for the heads up on the stock.

FYI if you also have SNES classic the controllers are cross compatible, no need to buy more stuff.

The best solution to the short length is a cheap eBay extension cable, that lets you continue to use the original controllers.

For me, using a third party controller with these things kind of defeats a large amount of the purpose of the whole thing, might as well just be playing on an emulator on some other device hooked up to your TV at that point.

Also check your Best Buy which you can reserve in-store. Looks like in Calgary they have NES controllers in stock at Westhills. They also NES and SNES in-store at various stores.
