Thread Summary
Pokemon Switch Bundle retails for $500+, so this is a deal for anyone who already owns a regular Switch and wants to "upgrade" to this special edition, without having to a) own two Switches or b) try selling your old one on Kijiji for $300.

That's what I was thinking - but I looked it up, and it's a special edition that comes with yellow joy-cons and Pikachus printed on the Switch itself, as well as the game and the pokeball thing (I think that's worth about $50?).

Anyways - the special edition bundle is regular price $500 or more I think, so if you already own a Switch but really, really want the special edition, I guess this makes it easy to "resell" your old Switch for about $300, without having the hassle of futzing with Kijiji.

I assume some ppl might do this so they can get a brand new switch if their current switch has issues (ie damaged, bad battery, etc)

Along with a fresh warranty, exclusive joy-cons, and the PokeBall Plus Controller which retails for $65 on its own.

Yeah, unfortunately the deal is for EBgames itself and not for the customers in this case. Unless your switch is damaged and you wanna trade it like others said. This is cold imo.

Well, if you already have a Switch and want to "upgrade" to the new Pokemon Eevee bundle (which is regular $500+), this is an easy way to do that without having to a) own two Switches or b) try selling your old one on Kijiji for $300.

For those saying you'll lose out on custom firmware possibilities if you trade in your old switch, keep in mind, if you have CFW on your Switch, you cant play online multiplayer. So if thats something that interests you, it's something worth noting.

Is this confirmed to be a new hardware iteration?
