They haven't updated their $3 TIV pdf (https://www.ebgames.ca/Views/Locale/Con ... lue-en.pdf) in over a month but really your only worry there is if a game has fallen under that.

I'm a little surprised they still run this, $40 for 7 is only an extra $5.71 per game, so if your game is worth $4.28 or less it's better to wait for the $10 minimum promo (and less than $3 obviously as long as they accept the game).

BUT WAIT, there's also the 50% extra promo, so at a boost of $5.71 per game it's only worth it if a 50% boost is less than $5.71, so anything with a TIV of $11.43 or higher is better in the 50% promo.

BUT WAIT, there's also the Trade 2 or 3 Get it Free promo! Where anything minimum $10 gets boosted to cover a $50 or $80 game!

BUT WAIT, there's also a 75% extra promo if you trade towards Used games/accessories/consoles.

It's madness.

As other people mentioned here, the $10 credit per game is a much better deal if you can wait.

Is it better to wait for a better promotion if I have games like DMC:V, Division 2, and Yoshi to trade in?

Yes, the 50% boost promo will get you significantly more money than only trading in 3 games will. Assuming those are all still over $30 it even beats the amount for 7 games.

It's cyclical and part of their Thursday deals. It might be a few weeks away, I think next Thursday (25th) is the console trade-in boost and then the Thursday after (May 2nd) is probably a controller event.

They don't take PS3 or 360 games anymore period, and hadn't included them in any promos for months.

And the EB rep behind the counter won't know anything about any of them...

When I first read this post, I read it as trade in 4 ps3 games for $20 as well. It almost seemed too good to be true, although Best Buy did have the same deal many many years ago.

Well that depends, one of the guys at one of the ones I go to actually tipped me off about the 4 for $20 on PS3/360 games a few days early, and when I asked another guy at another store if he knew when the next controller trade-in event was he said it would be a few weeks away (and gave me the rundown of what the Thursdays were gonna be a few weeks ahead).

It all depends on who reads their communications.
