as per their website you will get extra 50% TIV if you use it towards previusly playd or recharged (not sure what this is)
so technically you could $300 for PS4 Correct?

Can you not go to store trade in PS4 for $300 and buy a cheap $10 previusly playd game? netting you $290 for PS4 and then later on return the game to net $10
am I out to lunch on this? there is still time for the EBgames near me to open to confirm if the extra 50% is also on the console.

My switch is kinda getting long in the tooth but it works fine, does this mean I can trade it in for $300 and get a brand new one for 399 + tax?

Learn how to read the fine print before trying to concoct crazy schemes.

From the console trade print:
Cannot be combined with other Trade offers including EDGE.
From the 50% trade print:
50% extra trade credit when you trade towards any trading cards: Offer valid on Nintendo Switch, PS4 & XB1 games only.
Cannot be combined with any other trade offer excluding EDGE.
They got you on several fronts, EB got a lot better at covering their asses on promos over the years

Definitely worth more than that if they are running firmware lower than 3.69 (so buyer can "jailbreak" and install homebrew, emulators and install/download all Vita, PSX, PSP games free if they wish to). I bought one for 80 but it didn't have a power supply.

Dang, would have definitely traded my PS4 if the extra 50% towards used stuff stacked.
Wallet safe

Their used stuff and 'played' games are often 50% more expensive than if you get on Kijiji... It's faster, sure, so you pay for convenience.
Not a great deal though.

For the 50% one, it was in the email they sent. For the console one, its in the trade in promo page though the headline does read 50% extra trade credit, its clear they meant the console trade event from the rest of the post. Someone **** up there but since the other promo had it correct in the email, they will still deny you. The fine print on the console event in the email is all kinds of stupid lol. Whoever updated the site today/sent the email needs to be fired lol.

If anyone wants to sell their Vita for $80 in Ottawa, I may be interested depending on the model. Feel free to let me know if you want to sell anything else along with it.

When trading in a switch, what do you need? will they care if there are some scratchs on the screen, or if the rubbers are missing off the joycons, or the kickstand is missing, or the chassis is a little cracked?

It still works and plays games fine but I just want to trade in my old switch for a new one that my kids can re-destroy.

Yea it’s not so much the used stuff I want. I just want the cash for the ps4. I would have just bought a prepaid MasterCard

If you get a $300 credit then you would only pay $99 + tax for your new switch

You only pay tax on the difference of the trade in amount and the value of the new item...unless something has changed in their policies recently

I called and asked, new Switch is $379 now... so this deal just got $20 sweeter... Any way of transferring game data from old to new console without paying for Nintendo cloud backup?
