I received an email directly from EB Games.

Both the series X and S will be available for purchase tomorrow at 11AM EST ONLY for all access (includes 24 months of game pass ultimate)

Xbox series s + 24 month of ultimate = $29.99 per month for 24 months
Xbox series x + 24 month of ultimate $39.99 per month for 24 months

Edit: below is all the fine print of joining All Access:

^ Qualify for PayPlan by RBC financing and enjoy low monthly payments from $29.99 per month, plus applicable tax, at 0% APR for 24 months with $0 due today (monthly payment example based on a purchase price of $719.76, for an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console and 24 month Xbox All Access subscription). Lending products are provided by Royal Bank of Canada and are subject to its standard lending criteria. Taxes, shipping and other charges are extra and may vary.

† Prices vary by console. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: 24-month subscription includes 100+ games and online console multiplayer; game catalog varies over time. Internet access required (ISP fees apply). Membership conversion: your existing Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass membership(s) will automatically convert to Ultimate at a conversion ratio, learn more xbox.com/gamepass. Halo Infinite expected 2021. Digital Direct: Your digital content will be delivered directly to your console during set-up; no codes required. I wonder. Will this financing be available throughout the lifecycle of the consoles? Or just during the launch months? I'm considering All-Access, but I'm trying to stay away from RBC if I can help it.

So you essentially pay for the console plus pay $10 a month for 24 months for game pass. To me it's a cold deal because it's an obligation to stay for 24 months. Much can change.

It was announced age ago. This is coming from microsoft and not ebgames. It's probably a way for them to gather sales from peoples who can't afford gaming system and new titles (and I can see it working perfectly, my brother who live paycheck to paycheck with only a few hundreds spare each month is jumping on it to finally be able to play games)

Wish they would do the same for the PS5...

Using the Gold conversion is still the best deal if you can afford to buy outright, compared to the financing.

All Access:
$1085 (Series X + 24mo GPU + tax) + $187 (11mo GPU x $17) = $1272
$813 (Series S) + $187 = $1000

Buy outright:
$678 + $160 (35mo Gold conversion) = $838
$429 + $160 = $589

Savings of $434 over 35 months for Series X
Savings of $411 over 35 months for Series S

Hope my math is right, can't really count on the gold trick to be there in 2 years so I put regular price after that.

RBC sucks, I wouldn't trust them with money ever. They lost my student loan and miss handled my car loan. Never again.

I do want an Xbox series x but I already have 28 months of ultimate game pass queued up. I don't think it would stock as game pass doesn't account for past 36 months?

I do have $250 worth in PC points. I'll probably wait until shoppers has it available online again

IIRC the game pass in the all access deal comes as a 2 year voucher. You can keep it and then redeem when you have 12 months or less left on your current game pass ultimate account.

Interesting strategy, I think Xbox might "win" this generation console war.

Game Pass is awesome (and unlike Sony, include games on launch day) and this financing plan arrived right in line with COVID where people have lost their jobs and have to stay home.

Microsoft is playing 4D chess and Sony is still in diapers.

Good luck to people still trying to get one. While it might not be the deal some people like it is financed and saves you the worry about being cash strapped at Christmas time.

PS: The Xbox Series controller still sucks as it is absolutely sand paper on the hands. Never felt a controller so awful.

Math is right. This plan isn't for those who look at overall costs, rather the 'a $1/day?! Yeah!!' group.

I don't know man, until ms deliver quality first party games, people are going be tired of "basic cable package" (not my words). You can praise how much better subpar buffet (gamepass selection) saves you money, but sometimes people just want fine dining (ps library).

Calling gamepass content subpar buffet and ps library? Get out of here with that fanboy stuff.
