If flighthub is $22.50 CB ... and I'm actually planning to book a flight for 4 people coming up, couldn't I click through 4 times and do 4 transactions (1 per person) to get ($22.50x4)?

Also, does anyone know how often ebates does this kind of event, a few times a year?

In August ebates has their 4X cash back promotion to celebrate their birthday. The flighthub cashback was $30 then.

You sign into your eBates account, go to the Amazon landing page, click the shop button (which should take you to Amazon), you buy stuff, and you get an email (usually) within a few hours with how much cashback has been deposited to your eBates account.

Supposedly you can do that for 4 cashback. I have done similar things with expedia. The caveat is sometimes airlines will adjust (increases) the price of the remaining tickets when a ticket is sold. So you run into the risk of paying more for the tickets on separate transactions.

Make sure to click the ebates link and then add stuff to your cart instead of already having items in your cart. Also you can submit a claim manually...a pain in the butt but it works.

Agreed - I even looked at some 'sale' items and they were still ridiculously overpriced. I did snag 15% off at The Gap w/ one of their weekly sales though which brought the prices way down.
