Can this be used as a standalone Spotify player over bt to my wireless headset, without tethering thru my phone? (Assuming watch has Wi-Fi access)

It doesn't stay charged on cradle.

I haven't been using so I just kept it stationary on the cradle and I noticed (few tries already) it doesn't stay charged at 100%.
I leave there for 2 days and it's at 100% and then a day after it drained to 0%. The watch and charger is warm to touch even at 0% on cradle.

Have you tried a different cable and USB adapter?

The WearOS version of Spotify is not standalone, someone earlier hinted sideloading the full APK would work but never followed up about it.

I've spoken to TomRFD about having RFD host a community curated product wiki for items like the Wear24. Threads like these are great but they wax and wane as people forget and move on.

IMO there isn't that much going for this watch to warrant a product wiki, an owners thread in electronics forum should suffice.

ill try to adb install that spotify xda modded apk

https://forum.xda-developers.com/attach ... 1531431100

works fine, just too small imo(good full watchface coverart for each songs tho)..damn the stock watch keyboard is too annoying i cannot press the letters correctly...too small...is there a bigger better keyboard for wearOS?

wifi is weak on this standalone spotify apk...music stutters if u got extreme playback settings(not sure if its stuttering or just the tinny sound of the watch makes it appear to stutter lol), its better to use wearify app paired to phones spotify imo)

anyways great app if u don' use your phone, prolly drains battery on watch bigtime tho

i found another way to sideload apks from your phone to your watch instead...YMMV

use app called apps2wear
https://m.allfreeapk.com/apps2wear,1350 ... nload.html

i think u need a rooted phone tho...need to have adb debugging set to bluetooth on the phone and the watch and the wearOS app on the watch in advanced settings at the bottom u will see a slider, basically u need to have bluetooth ON

Debugging over BLuetooth
host:disconnected
target:connected

If anyone can work this post it

I got error screen

if it is, would it even have any warranty? doubt it though
Depends on the listing you got it from, the one in the OP has 60 days warranty, just contact the seller.

I left my phone at home over the weekend by mistake and the cloud icon disappeared as you guys all said it would. I came back home and the icon never came back. I verified working and receiving notifications. I then put it to charge on Monday (then turned it off) and grabbed the second watch (turned it on at that point) and no cloud icon there. Not sure if it was my leaving the phone at home that fixed it. The only update was a keyboard update.
