[eBay.ca] Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) Deals - Approx. $160 CAD [Effective Pre-Tax Ontario]

Officially, the sale on the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) is over, and the large retailer price is $199 CAD. Through some third parties, prices remain discounted $40 CAD + HST. The sale price until recently was $159.99 CAD from major retailers, but that's gone, likely for months.

The Plus unit is more expensive, but I still found it cheaper through eBay rather than through official cross-border resellers. With reshippers being blacklisted on major US retailers, the above option is the easiest to access.

The very low priced open box ad-supported model seems like a favorite in the USA because it appears it's easy to de-activate forced ads and turn this unit into a regular tablet via Fire Toolbox.

All resellers have more than 1000 feedback, and more than 97% positive feedback. Except for one, they're all 99% or higher.

eBay threads can be dicey (in terms of reader reception), but I'm rolling the dice anyways.

God bless, gents.

Garbage deal seeing as how these were on sale 3 days ago for $159.99 CAD (NEW, not open box) on amazon.ca, compared to ebay $161 (which isn't even accurate, it's higher than this due to forex).

Have fun dealing with returns or any warranty issues through random ebay store

Corrected: $159.99 on amazon, $149.99 through staples

It was $159.99 officially, and $149.99 with the coupon through Staples (I see your correction). This is our alternative to a DeLorean for those looking at a right-now purchase, I normally have your response to things like this but I'm getting more open minded (maybe I'm getting old).

@stephroll has the right perspective though, this is the Canadian market, and these are the best deals I can find for now.

As for the Forex claim, you're missing the point, I took the all-in Canadian dollar purchase price and backed out the pre-tax amount, it should be accurate save perhaps the 2% to 3% FX fee (read: not FX translation).

Have a feeling as soon as the US border opens up either there's going to be alot of people crossing to buy electronics or prices might drop a bit in Canada
My vote goes to border crossing lol

Watch Delta, friend. Michigan and New York are liberal hot spots and you have a liberal president and prime minister on respective sides.

Border closures may last longer than expected.

I'm not missing the point

Ebay shipped, to your door is = $138.38 USD = (TD VISA rate 1.2864 + 2.5% fee) = $181.47 CAD
Amazon.ca shipped to your door is = $179.18 CAD

No next day shipping, no returns, no support. In this example you actually pay MORE than straight from amazon

Still think it's a good deal?

If I used the staples price, the ebay 'deal' would look even worse. By a mile
