Excellent find. Great for when they offer the 100 air miles for $50 spent. Gets you up to 40% value. Yes, their prices, like Shoppers, are high, but they have some good specials and some good in-house coupon ($ off) items in store to maximize this even further.

Probably, nothing in the terms seems to state you can't.

Actually the one near me, their prices are even higher than SDM, I mean I rarely shop at sdm (only for milk bread and specials etc.) but I agree with your idea to use when they have those promos.

Their policy says no, but their POS accepts it. You have to get a cashier that doesn't care.

I love and hate this deal everything it comes up. It's always a pain to find a cashier that will let me use it on GCs, and I always have to teach them how to use these electronic gift cards (F8 -> F2 on the till, for anyone who's wondering)

No for sure.
And in some stores, they refuse payment for GC by GC

But I can use the rexall GC to purchase merchandise . Spend $35 - $5 coupon to get an extra $10 coupon. Not to mention the GC is already 20% off.

This is turning out to be a large quantity of chips @ $1 per bag when stacked with the $10 coupon with $30 spend.

Yes, regular merchandise is OK. But no for GC.
