Anyone have experience with this Dyson humidifier?
I'm tired of my Bionaire humidifier, it's so noisy.

Are these refurbs any good? Do they have lots of hours on the motor?

Is this similar to an ultrasonic humidifier?
Does this leave a white film/dust/residue on nearby surfaces? I find that our Vicks ultrasonic humidifiers tend to do that, probably because we just use regular tap water.

From this review, it will leave some dust nearby, a common problem for ultrasonic humidifier.
I would wait for their next gen product that hopefully have a HEPA filter inside to deal with my allergy problem.

Have this humidifier. I would consider it a high priced "novelty" to the ones you can pick up on Amazon. It does leave the white dust on items even with the filter.

To me the noise level is the same as Dyson fans.

I have this and I gotta say.....on paper it’s great! In practice it’s OK. That’s about it, the UV light is a nice behind the scene feature. So here are some comments on the product.

1. Leaves calcium dust around.
2. Has dust inside the fan blades (you can’t clean this)
3. Really small tank for water
4. 70% humidity is the max setting (but I don’t think this is accurate because I have to set it to 70% just to have this thing run)
5. Fan noise if you use this if you sleep could be annoying
6. If you run out of water, the fan literally will keep on and your room will get really cold in the middle of the night.
7. Let’s not forget about the constant maintenance :-D

Thank you OP.

I currently own Dyson SuperSonic hairdryer (500$, brand new), and Cordless Vacuum cleaner V6 (refurbish, bought in 2014 from Dyson Outlet on ebay.ca)
I can attest that those are the best investment I have made in my life.
I hope this product delivers, just like my other two Dysons.

I bought in during the last sale for the AM09.

My fan was creaking during oscillation and clicking, sent it back for an exchange.

Dyson took their sweet time sending me back the exchange unit.

They couldn't find any more refurbs, so shipped me a new unit, in retail packaging!

Someone got an early Christmas present.
Good to know that Dyson has good return/exchange policy.

Yup, and when you add the device online to your Dyson Profile it bumps to 2 year warranty, like a retail unit.

Pretty Happy!

Icing would have been if I could find away to make it work with Home Automation since the new Link feature is only available on the new Hot Cool Purify Unit.

Any competitors that also offers the UV feature? Just to compare prices.
