[eBay.ca] Dyson Refurb Vacuum sale v10B 399$ v8B 269$!

Right now they have v10 Motorhead for 339.99$ and the v10B for 399.99$. v8b for 269... Pretty damn good I think.

They also have the Big ball canister vacuums for 224.99.

Grabbed a canister one.

Can someone explain why Dyson has so many refurbished vacuum cleaners?

I feel like it's a combination of them having a very good warranty process and putting in the effort to Refurb defects AND the fact that they cost alot. Not to mention they have a massive market share.

I work in retail and many times people return shit they buy claiming it has this or that issue which we cannot test in store. These get sent back to the manufacturer or destroyed, whatever the vendor wants us to do. When people have buyer's remorse buying an expensive item this is a very common tactic to return it.

It's fun cutting up perfectly functioning and usable kayaks but they definitely could have had a second life or be donated or something but some companies dont invest the time and effort into it and just asks us to destroy them.

Is the V10 worth the price compared to the V8B?

Thanks!

Dyson doesn't sell or allow the sale of open boxed products from vendor returns so they send them back, or they're remanu under the warranty period and resold.

Can anyone explain the difference between the V10 Motorhead and the V10B? Do either of these come with the fluffy head for hardwood floors?

V10B is the V10 Animal without the mini motorhead and soft dusting brush. Compared to the v10 MH the V10B comes with the newer torque motor head and larger bin capacity

I have a v8 I bought last year. Very happy with it, our fault has since stopped using and disconnected the central vac that came with the house.

One small issue was that in the winter I kept getting little shocks when holding the handle. Customer support said it was due to static electricity build up in the brush head and particles moving in the dust bin. She recommended rubbing a dryer sheet on all the plastic inside the canister and brush head and it seemed to do the trick.

For those reading this thread who are Dyson owners, where is the best place to buy replacement filters?

they don't want to infuriate existing owners who bought at full price by heavily discounting the item so then they mark these as "refurbs", put them in a non retail box and sell it. But when you try to register it for warranty, you will notice it has 2 years instead of 1 year.
