[eBay.ca] HOT? Brake wind back tool set

Princess auto sells for 49.99 plus taxes when on sale while ebay is 33.95 shipping and taxes included.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/262918853700

I did personally get the larger 21 piece set in case i ever come across a car that needs it. its 36.95 vs 33.95 of the 18 set. i think it makes more sense to get the bigger kit

Get this one because there is more pieces and more is always better.....

Same kit and seller on Amazon is $38.95

Here is the 18 piece set from princessauto

brg I know what your getting at but this is different, on my accord you don't push the piston back in you spin it back in which is what this is for.
As for a cheaper option, a massive screwdriver or a prybar will achieve the same as this tool though and far more useful.

I couldn't compress the brake piston on my neighbour's Mazda with a C-clamp. You have to press and turn the piston at the same time. My neighbour ended up borrowing the tool from CT/Part Source (not sure which) before we could continue working on the brakes.

I worked on the brakes on my own cars for about 15 years and never came across the need for this tool until the Mazda and found that there are more cars using this method. I'd get a set if I need it to work on the brakes more than once, beats using any other methods like a C-clamp or a giant screwdriver.

Trouble with this set is that it may not work on all the vehicles. A C clamp and a pair of adjustable pliers (the ones that plumbers use) will work on all. Use the C clamp to push the piston in and the pliers to turn it. Very easy and simple to do.
Good insults are hard to find. Why waste them on someone you don't like.

These tools are used for doing rear calipers... I picked up a little cube from my local parts store a few years ago for 15 bucks or something and it did the job... I lent it to my buddy and he had to grind down a few tabs to make it work for his...
I have now just purchased this set lol

And I totally did not check the post just to see what kind of "back tool" set fixes that problem. Astonished Face

Just used this set to do a brake job on a 2010 Mazda 3,.
Worked really well - made that part of the job easy, getting the rusted rotors off, not so easy.
I picked mine up off amazon.ca.

Currently, we only have the 9 kinds of items, but we will have much more items in next week, such as engine timing tools, ball joint tools, puller set, bearing tools, etc.

If there are any interested items, pls kindly contact us.
