If I just want a tablet for content browsing, streaming, light gaming (Angry Birds, Pokemon Go levels light) and very occasionally productivity work. Would the M8 work? How does it compare to the Chromebook Duet? I don't see much use personally in the added bulk of the keyboard besides being a kick stand. Or the benefits of a Chromebook over Android for my purposes. Though I'd like to know the real difference between the two. I always thought Chromebooks were just for parents to buy kids since they're cheap laptops.

I get that Chromebooks have a built in shelf life, but for half the price the M8 really doesn't seem much worse off especially it'll mainly just be used to web browse and play Pokemon GO.

Any recommendations for a good budget android tablet would be appreciated.

Okay I must be an idiot. When I go to ebay.ca to the Lenovo PCFUNTIME link nothing shows. I owe my son a new tablet.
What am I doing wrong?

Yes the M8 would work.

The Chromebook is a hybrid between a tablet and a laptop. It provides a better browsing experience and is typically a bit faster and bigger.

I bought an M10 + dock for $189 - $5 coupon last week. So I would have saved $14 today. Interesting: they didn't charge HST. No idea why. I wonder if that's true today. That's a 15% saving in Ontario.

FYI, I just found out that the M8 FHD 5 GHz wifi is only a 1x1 so it's "slow". We only get about 50 Mbs download. Probably not a big deal for most kids.

check your shipping location. If your location is not in Canada then the items wont show up.

It's being sold by LenovoCanada but the item is shipping from the US, specifically Lenovo's manufacturing plant in Whitsett, North Carolina.

Not sure why there's no mention of any possible import fees. It's also shipping via UPS so that sounds like a gamble as well.
