[eBay.ca] Kenwood Premium Blender $85

I'm not sure it's a deal...
2L Blender, glass jar, 1000W model BLM800GY
Used to retail $399 now discontinued but available at $329 https://www.arescuisine.com/us/kenwood- ... ender.html
Yes it's the real McCoy.

Update: Also available from the manufacturer for $99 https://www.kenwoodworld.com/en-ca/all- ... 0w22311005
Update 2:
The version that ships is not affected by the recall.
The base of the jar in this version has reverse threads: I haven't had any spillage issue.
The motor is rated at 8.5 amp. Typical life should be 120 hrs or 6.5 years with daily home use. Max speed around 20,000 RPM.
According to the manual: Do not exceed 3 minutes of continuous use. Do not immerse the blade assembly

I'd be wary. The Item title seems to indicate it might just be for the 2L jar attachment: "Kenwood BlendX Pro Blender Glass Thermoresist Jar for hot & cold ingredients"

I think it's jar only as well.

Seems like it.

I would still buy on that basis, eBay protection is pretty good.

This seems like a large discount.

Isn't this Blender Glass Jar only?

"6 preset blending programs" and "1000w" is enough to reasonably claim that you believed you would be receiving a the whole blender (in the event you only get the jar).

90.7% is terrible? I don't do any shopping on ebay but that's seems pretty good.

It's bottom 25%.

Not a scam, but showing some disregard for clients.

The price is excellent, so consider the cost benefit.

Am I the only one from the older generation that thought Kenwood was a brand related to audio equipment?

Oh man back in the days of Headunits….

FYI I have had this blender open in a chrome tab on kenwood's website for probably over a year (figured my blender would die any day, guess not...). It's been $99 on their site for 1+ year.

So no, not the real McCoy.

I received mine today, the recall states (shipping was faster than expected)

Image

>date code from 14x01 to 15x22 ("x" is a letter, for example 14T01) which can be found on the rating label on the underside of this product

mine is 15L96

I assume I am safe I guess, no details about the third digit, so I read it as 15x96

what do you think?

EDIT: according to ebay the shipping was supposed to be UPS, if your like me and don't like UPS, know that it was actually delivered by Canada Post. (if you have special instructions for delivery, like me, it is always a pleasure to know Canada Post will know what to do and that you won't have to get to call or go to the nearest UPS.)

EDIT 2: thanks for op, we were looking for a decent blender since the cheap one we had blown up, and this seems like a fair one.
