Lenovo's website has a 5% off coupon EXTRA5 which brings it down to $1280. There is also 5% cashback from from rakuten which would probably make it cheaper than buying from ebay

If the screen was 14" I'd buy. 12.5" is too small.

Can't wait for Lenovo to get on the 3:2 screen aspect ratio. I have a 2018 X1 carbon from work and I love everything about it except for the screen aspect ratio.
Be a nice person and enjoy life

I'm okay with the screen size as I'd have a larger monitor for much of the time. The reason I love the X series is the battery life. I could get most of the day on a charge vs 3-4 hours for a T series of comparable vintage.

Sounds okay. I can likewise get through my entire day on a Zenbook 13. It's like 2.45 pounds and half the cost of this. Yes the fit and finish is much better on the X-series (hence the double price) and I'd love to have it, but I even find the 13" Zenbook a bit too cramped for my needs while on the go. Like many others, I think 14" is the ideal laptop size for now. At least until they will get 15-16" laptops to be under 3 pounds. For me, screen real estate to weight ratio is king when it comes to laptops.

Yeah, they are not cheap. I'm in the market for a laptop for my kid for college and I'm going to push him towards an X series mostly because of build quality. Those units are tough. Both my X1 and X220 had their fair share of cracks and dings on them.

This is a really crappy price.

X395 r5-3500u was on sale recently for $300 less than this and X13 is coming any day now.

Why buy the X280 for essentially full price now?

Can someone advise what the best deal on a 13-14" laptop is lately?
