It would have been a good deal if the screen was the 120hz version and not the 60hz.

And what are you really expecting to play at 120 with a 1650 lol? Overwatch at low settings?

To be honest, memory card reader slots are becoming rare like CDs in laptops. Kind on sad. I still have a desktop with a CD/DVD drive and a flash memory bay for assorted memory cards to plug in.

Only HDMI out means no 4k at 60Hz, correct? Unless it's HDMI 2.0 but I couldn't find anything in the links shown that indicate 2.0.

Display output used to be so straightforward, now it's a crapshoot

A little extra effort goes a long way :) All the details are on Lenovo’s website, it has HDMI 2.0

Ports/Slots
2 x USB 3.2** (Gen 1)
USB-C 3.2
HDMI 2.0
RJ45
Headphone / mic combo

Yes I do especially on esport titles like Valorant, Rocket League and Fortnite not to mention Counter strike. The 1650 could easily hit 100+ frames in these titles.

It still cracks me up that my 2018 gaming laptop has a DVD-Drive but the company called it "legacy optical format support"

I think you might be thinking of a 1660, not the mobile 1650. Unless you want to play in 720p.

Basicaly a pin-sized hole that will launch recovery mode when you insert a paperclip in it.

Yeah, I picked one of these up last August. Very happy with it. I have added a 16GB stick of RAM to bring it to 24GB, and at Christmas I bought a 1TB WDBlack SN750. A nice little portable gaming rig I can take to the cottage with me for those rainy days.
