Pretty hot but Dell has a similar model (albeit with 8G/256) for $925 with coupons dell-vostro-7000-i5-10400-gtx1650-15-6- ... 5-2398448/

They also did a sale for the i7/16/512 for around $960 but that’s over with now...

I had to get a new laptop for work on short notice and ended up with a Lenovo IdeaPad from Costco. For comparison, It was $1399 instore with i7-10750H, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD, GTX 1650Ti. I choose the 6 core i7 for work on Visual Studios and VM's.

It's just on their regular site
https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/le ... 81Y6000FUS
With 5% student discount and 10% cc rebate it will be just under $1400 but that's just my situation. Might wait to see if ebates/rabuken increases in the next few days

Also thinking of this
https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/le ... MD00000421
Which would be $1625 with coupon and student discount and even less with cc rebate and ebates. Not as good of a screen though
Might wait until the 15" which should be released any day now

It says "international shipping of items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges"

Anyone if this applies to Canada?

there's no duties and shipping from Lenovo even though its coming from the US. I've bought 1 laptop and a few accessoires this year.

Dell at this point is a lost cause for consumer value. If it wasn't for ProSupport and their business use cases they'd be completely hopeless.

IMO anything above $1k for an i5/1650 is not a great deal. If this device had a 10750H OR a 1660TI+ it'd be a good price but it has neither. I guess that's the "slim" tax.

Metrotown / Burnaby …
I came here this morning to post the Yoga C940 with eBay 10% discount, and searching to see if it was potentially already posted saw yours which was more comprehensive.

But just came back to share a few details as some of you may find this helpful:
  • A) I bought the C940 as it was cheaper than on the Lenovo Canada Web site.
  • B) seeing it's sold by LenovoCanada (i.e. official store on eBay) but being shipped from the States I called Lenovo to check whether i) they could price-match so I can get it from Canada and ii) if not to check the warranty, considering the unit is being sent from Whitsett, North Carolina, United States
  • the rep checked and advised they could only price-match big brand retailers / hence their official store on eBay was a no-go
  • but confirmed the warranty would be fine.. i.e. advised when I get it to go to Warranty Lookup using its serial number, and if it's not Canadian - then was told to send the picture of the invoice / proof of payment to "thinkpls_ca@lenovo.com"
  • He also advised that some machines are shipped from North Carolina, but that Whitesett is where their Outlet is and usually from there they ship things that are returned BUT still brand new / unopened.
So considering the price for the identical machine on their Web site is $1,569.99 after the coupon + the Tax, I went ahead purchased it.

BUT please note:
the 10% discount is being applied after the tax
• Screenshot from my purchase included for reference ...
@OP perhaps you can adjust your post accordingly.

Although it's not a huge difference, i.e. probably about $20, don't really appreciate when they do this sort of thing.

Now will need to upgrade that SSD to 500 GB...
