[eBay.ca] Lenovo Smart Tab P10 +Dock for 129.99 - 67% off

Saw this on deals at ebay. Direct from lenovo is a pretty solid tablet + dock combo. 3 gigs of ram and 1080p screen.

Thread Summary
"As the device is factory configured this pairing process is really inconsistent. Further it loses connection when just sitting in the dock. This is annoying and prevents reliable use as an Alexa client. Fortunately there is a fix but it requires going into developer mode and changing a normally inaccessible setting (change Bluetooth AVRCP version from 1.4 (default) to 1.5,). With this fix the device seems to work as intended."

Since it's android, can't you root it and change up the ROM and whatnot to kill Alexa and add in Google instead?

Unboxing & then Re-boxing to return Video .. Note: The hardware is superb 4 speakers on tablet, 2 subwoofers & 2 speakers on the dock...plus 8MP camera, glass back, FHD display , fingerprint sensor, fingerprint also has some smart gestures...Android plus Amazon Alexa Show while docked...overall for this price its a HOT device ..was launched in Q1 of 2019..so device is fairly new and will hold up well for next 5 years easily

Can this be used as a central controller for smart home devices? I am doing a main floor renovation right now and would like to have a tablet with a dashboard that could control the Philips Hue lights, Ecobee thermostat and monitor my Ring cameras. Would like the screen to be always on so that anyone can just use it to turn on the lights, change the temperature, etc.

And probably all the same downsides as the fire tabs...
(Major one for me was the inability of the netflix apps to cast on chromecast).
