Was looking at the Asus TUF laptops for casual gaming (warzone). Should I get this? Haven’t owned a pc in 10 years. Know nothing about pc’s.

TIA

AMD is killing it lately though. To each their own.

Yeah, but this an old laptop off of eBay with last year's three-thousand series Ryzen. I.e. No where near as good.

Edit: I was too quick to judge. Please see my correction/apology down below. This product is actually a weirdly assembled desktop. The title has since been clarified as well.

Yeah, I'm confused. A T530 from eons ago isn't worth more than a couple hundred. But wait, it has a Ryzen in it.... uhhh

Doesn't look like a laptop to me.. unless you like to place your PC on your lap! :)

There's a world wide Intel shortage. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more AMD's getting released.

Still using my T530 I purchased in 2012 as a backup, purchased the X1 Carbon Yoga last year for business travel. Kids using my T520 purchased in 2010. Both successfully upgraded to windows 10. Old but reliable.

Didn't this come out in 2019? (the 5 ryzen 3400g) Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Looking back at the specs this doesn't seem to be that good of a deal if you can build something yourself IMO.

I’m confused. This does not look like a laptop, but that’s what you’re all referring to it as??

Awww that's cute! It's the same case as the price-error rtx2080 i9-9900k legion we bought last year for cheaper!

My bad. Sorry, I thought this was a laptop. Please ignore my previous post about three-thousand series AMD CPUs. The 3400G is an okay value, albeit super entry-level CPU. Compared to Intel it's good, but compared to other AMD CPUs, maybe not so much. It's advantage is that it has an integrated GPU and thus is best suited to office work where you can forgo buying the discrete graphics card.

It would nice if OP actually takes time to write Lenovo Legion T530 desktop; because it is just so confusion by naming it Lenovo T530 (many people would think it were a Thinkpad T530).

I don't understand people's intentions here. This is a perfectly fine computer. It will run AAA games, you can livestream, video editing. Is it the latest and best? Hardly, but it will perform to most people's expectations. The price is very reasonable and given the price increases lately, it would be close to a build it yourself computer.

Why should the onus be on the many rather than the one? A desktop in this price range with those specs is not a deal and probably shouldn't be posted in the Hot Deals forum. A laptop with that price on the other hand...

This is actually a good price. I just bought an asus rog for 1100 from staples a few weeks ago, same specs but 12gb ram, and 2hr pickup which was essential vs shipping from US. Prolly gonna take 3 wks for this.
