[eBay.ca] Sell for $1 Offer Ebay.ca [Jan 12-13]

This deal returns for January...I think the last deal was November 2018.

Sell 5 items on ebay.ca for $1 each

https://www.ebay.ca/rpp/selling-weekend

Sellers ("Sellers") who activate the offer, and pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein, list during the Promotion Period, will pay zero insertion fee and a final value fee of $1 per item for the first 5 listings created.("Promotion").

This Promotion is available to Canadian sellers who: (i) activated the Promotion; and (ii) meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards. Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.

When is it?

This Promotion will begin on January 12, 2019, at 00:00:01 ET (12:00AM plus one second), and will end on January 13, 2019 at 23:59:59 ET (11:59PM plus 59 seconds), for listings on www.ebay.ca or www.cafr.ebay.ca (the "Promotion Period").

Offer is activated on January 12th according to my EBAY account.

EBAY messages also indicate... Canada Post shipping rates will increase soon. As part of their annual rate assessment, they have announced increases on shipping costs effective January 14, 2019.

Both :)

"Eligible listings for the Promotion include auction-style, auction-style with the Buy It Now feature added, or fixed price formats."

Hmmm no offer email. Guess I don’t qualify. Is the “dashboard” only viewable on a computer? Don’t see that option on the app.

Can someone explain what does "final value fee of $1 per item" really mean? Does it mean that regardless of the final value of the item sold I won't pay ebay their usual cut of around 10% and only pay 1$?

Yes. That is what happened last time. But keep in mind, they have a time limit to when you sell the item. I think if you sell it within a month its $1, anything after they charge normal 10% commission. A little sneaky.

Sounds like a hot deal if it's true.

Yep! Definitely a good time to post some items. If you want a quick sell, you could auction style it and have an end date within a week.

I posted a few items and it didn't sell until a month or two after and got dinged the 10%... so ya, be cautious and aware of your timing.

They also charge another fee based on the shipping price added to the listing, if done separately. If you include 'free' shipping, you shouldn't pay anything other than the $1.

Great time to sell high priced items.

Sold a $400 Star Wars Sideshow figured and it only cost me...... $1 in fees. Saved a bundle.

Make sure you list your items, and activiate the deal on the webpage before you start. It' will only show up on those days. It's for ebay.ca, however if you list your items to ship to USA, it will also show up when people search Ebay.com

Highly recommend taking advantage of this.

Can you auction and buy it now. I do buy it now, with high priced items.
