Lenovo site says the 8GB of RAM is soldered. Does that mean there’s another port to add an additional stick? Having by trouble finding the spec sheet.

Also probably want a bigger SSD. Is that easy to access on these? Would changing it void the warranty?

OOS, don't need it myself but I wanted to forward it to a coworker looking for a new machine.

Had this been a 16:10 screen I may have jumped on it,

That's a solid machine, if it meets your needs there's really no need to upgrade. I believe that was the last model with an external battery.

I got a P14s gen 1 , but I'm still running a T430 maxed out with 16GB ram, upgraded HDD, and dock as my secondary machine. Works great for browsing, youtube, productivity, etc.

True. I've seen some T480/T490 units sell for more or about the same price as these much newer machines. Crazy market out there, even old thinkpads like the T420 and T430 were selling for quite a lot throughout the pandemic, at least in my region.

My 8350u based X1 Carbon is still more than fantastic with the QHD screen. Unless you’re doing something that needs the extra horsepower, you might not notice much of a difference with a newer machine. I’d totally miss the nits and resolution if I bought a newer one, hence why I haven’t.

Also have a first gen P1 work machine which although hot and loud, the 15.6” 4k screen is great to work on with my middle-aged eyes. :)
