I have no need for it so I leave you to explain but it seems you can read other amazon.ca reviews to get more insight.

This device is around 200$ canadian everywhere else. I have ordered one for work since my laptop can only handle two displays at a time. Hopefully this will work as intended.

It will work on your desktop... Don't know if it supports 4k60 or not...but there will be barely any difference between 4k30 and 4k60 for general usage.

Assuming sp4=ps4=playstation 4 you will not be able to use it for that at all

This is basically an external GPU. It will be outputting the video to the display rather than your internal GPU which is why it is capable of 4k even if you have an old beater laptop

Assuming it runs full windows then I don't see why this wouldn't work for that

It says "Compatible with Windows 8.1/8/7 only" ...
So it won't work with my Windows 10? How come?

My guess would be that Windows 10 wasn't out when this launched. It should absolutely work though.

Does anyone know if this will allow daisy chaining with Display Port? I have two monitors which support daisy chaining, for my work laptop I have the latest Display Port on it so it works fine, however my Macbook from 2012 doesn't support this. So with my Macbook I can only run one display. Do you know if this dock will support daisy chaining for two 1440P displays with one single DP cable?

Having gone from 4k30 to 4k60 for desktop usage, I can easily say there is a big noticeable difference, to the point where it would drive me insane having to move a mouse @ 30p

I wouldn't count in daisy chaining DP.

It looks to be displayLink, which is video over USB 3.x

I wouldn't count on 4k60p, either.

Yep, it's DisplayLink, and won't do 4k60p;

The newest gen DisplayLink (DL-6000 series) can do 4k60p (actually dual 4k60p! and 5K res); the one before that (DL-5000) is the first one to handle 4K - which is likely to be the one used on this SD4000
