ebay shipping question

hey all
is anyone familiar with buying from the states on ebay?
i bid on an item which has the global shipping program listed as method of transport.
after winning said item, the seller agreed to ship directly to me.
how do i go about paying him to ship direct rather than paying for global shipping program?
