[eBay.com] [US] NEW HP 14" Intel Core i5-1035G4 3.70GHz 10th Gen 128GB SSD 4GB RAM US299

This ebay seller seems to carry the same Costco HP i5-1035G4 laptop that many of us tried to get hold of. Big thread here:

For $20 more, not as hot and return-friendly as the other one but may worth the risk. Free shipping within the US and buyer pays return shipping.

Two things:
1. Put the price
2. Put on your flame retardant suit.

Cheers!

$100 USD shipping to Canada.

Free shipping to USA.

Shipping to Portland based AMForwarder then reshipping to Canada seems like a winning option.

Even a sh!ty 8" sub notebook has resolution of 1280x800; and lots of cheap cell phones have similar or better resolutions as well; it is just pitiful (if not unacceptable) that many new laptops of 15" (or 14") are still 1366x768.

We should all stop buying laptops that have less than 900p resolution to send a message to the manufacturers / retailers that we want better resolutions. We are stepping into 2020 (coincidence with perfect visiion).

All laptops / ultrabooks which I recently purchased are all 1080p FHD.

Sure, but why settle for 900p? 1080p or dont bother, they cant really cost much more as this point, fewer laptops ship with 768p screens now

To clarify folks, the only reason this is dead is the 768p screen.

At this price with a 1080p screen reshipped from tax free Portland, this would've a W.

I feel like yelling at the design team for purposefully gimping the screen like that.

Dispicable.

$100 total(including shipping, customs, whatever) and I'd be all over it, even if it's a 768p screen.

Then do it.

Create a free reshipping account at:
https://www.amforward.com/

They'll ship it there for $299 USD flat, as there's no sales tax in Oregon (I'm surprised too).

Then reship it to the Canada paying the modest shipping and tax-duties (13% for Ontario).

It's a beautiful thing. If it wasn't for the peer pressure, I would also admit that 768p is good enough for business users, but folks here are offended by such honesty.
