I came across this little bad boy. It the cheapest wireless pad that i was able to find. In addition it has decent reviews for its price.

I don't know anything about wireless charging. Does anyone know if this'll work with a Note 3 and Nexus 5?

nexus 5 yes.
Note 3 dunno

I have this and use it with my Nexus 5. It's slow and the phone has to be in a perfect angle for it to actually charge.

I've got two of these, use them with Blackberry chargers from Princess Auto on my Nexus 5 and 7 (2013). They work beautifully (not slow at all, btw, just make sure you use chargers that dole out more than 1A).

You'll need to get a circle case or modified back cover. Most NA LG G3's only come with the NFC back cover but are compatible with QI charging if you get the correct cover (you'll see 4 pin connections, top 2 are for NFC, bottom 2 for Qi).
