Refurbished Wii - $49.99 + Free Shipping

Saw this in their newsletter, $50 for a Wii and free shipping on orders over $25. Doesn't seem too expensive, should be under $57 all in, I bought a used one from ebay for about the same price a year ago.

I'm pretty sure most Wiis can easily be modded to play backup games from a usb or external hard drive. I used ModMii on mine.

The only thing I'm not sure about is it says: "Includes: Refurbished Wii System, 1 Wii Remote Controller, 1 Wii Nunchuk Controller"

Does it include the sensorbar and cables, my guess is yes? But maybe call and ask if you decide to place an order.

I don't think complete/working Wii systems will ever sell below $30-$40 or so, so you can always resell it down the road if you get bored of it.

Here is a good list of games you might consider getting: http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/Wii

The wii is worth it alone to play mario galaxy 2, one of the best games i've played. Really easy to mod the system too if you wish.

The only wii you need to avoid is the wii mini, I believe everything else can be modded with ease via various methods.

I bought the wii from in the store. It comes with everything a typical wii comes with that includes the senso bar. I went into the store to buy it because I had the EB Games employee open up 2 boxes for me. The second box I purchased had a white wii with everything. It was pretty much in perfect condition (10/10). Everything had their plastic stickers on it as if it never was used but the controllers could of have been easily purchased in bulk from a Chinese re-seller.

The first box I looked at had a black wii but white controller. It is best to ask them to open the box in front of you to inspect it for cosmestic wear such as scratches, the black wii had a large majority of scratches on the console. I think this only matters for those who are collectors and like to keep things they buy constant like having everything white or black as a color on a console.

I paid for the 2-year warranty for the console. It costed $10.00 for 2 years and $5.00 for 1 year. My total came out to be $62.00. I assume being an platinum edge member, I saved a few dollars off the purchase as it is a refurbished product.

Try purchasing it in-store as there is a few of them at each store.
