I went with the River Max model on Amazon : 800-250 + taxes.

Should be enough to power a couple of lamps and the modem/router during power outages. Will also be useful while camping.

Does anyone know if there are any models that can work with a generlink transfer switch?

Likely two delta pro's with the infinity ac link between them (for 2 phase 240v)

The link is out of stock in canada.

Where did you manage to get a generlink? I've been trying to find one for a while now and was about to just get a transfer switch panel instead.

Thanks

Generlink was already installed at the cottage when we took possession. Power outages are frequent up there, but we only use for 4-5 months a year. Also not sure if I want to lug home that much weight in batteries every winter. Don't think they would survive up there

Bluetti is a better alternative and offer higher value proposition imo. A number of their units have batteries with better chemistry (LiFePO4) and significantly more charge cycles. As a bonus, they're currently on sale.

These things do they go bad. The batteries Ifnyou don't use them all the time? Is there any rules to charge them once a month or something?

I'm too cheap to ever spend 2k on one of these. If power goes out i can do something else.... How often does power really go out? And why do you need power when you go camping? Most camp sites have power available? Am i wrong? I think 2k is away too much.

Handy for people that go boondocking.

Li-ion batteries like the ones in ecoflow are rated for about 500-800 cycles to 80% capacity. LiFePO4 are about 5 times more durable (2500-3500 cycles).

Ordered a River max on Wednesday. It is shipped today from Calgary and will arrive on Monday.

Side note for those who ordered at amazon, make sure to check your email or Amazon app. Eco flow will send you a message asking for your contact number for UPS shipping. They will not ship until you provide this info.

just recently purchased a 1280wh lithium battery for $250 USD (average pricing seems to be $300 USD). surprised to see that an equivalent model here is only 288wh for $450 CAD. how is it different if I connect my lithium battery with a really good inverter with all of the inputs this have?

I got the Bluetti EB70 because during long power outages in very cold temperatures (-15c or less) I need to be able to power a heat source, and it will run my pellet stove for at least 6 hours.

After 3 separate overnight power outages this winter, I wanted to be prepared.

That's definitely a better option for less money, but you got the battery for really cheap; on ebay it is $600 CAD. Can you tell me where you got it in the USA?
But the only problem with your "solution" is that you will not know how much juice you have left and therefore cannot monitor consumption (which is important if the power outage will be for more then 24 hours and you have to conserve energy). The OP product is convenient since it has a screen that tells you about the amount of energy left.
