Title should specify CLEARANCE items only. Or at least, that's what the header on their website reads.

Also, am I crazy, or do most of the scratched out 'regular' prices seem marked up and beyond ridiculous? $155 for a flannel button-up? $95 for shorts? $109 for jeans? $140 moccasins? Since when did Eddie Bauer have prices like that?! Smells fishy.

Eddie Bauer prices are like Canadian Tire's, never pay full price.

Some items on clearance are like $10 cheaper than regular price... What a scam.

Agreed - If you know who bought this jacket at $699, let me know as I have the Eiffel tower for sale at a really good price.

But even outright lying like that, and to that degree (cause I know such a ploy is commonplace for any apparel company), is so gross.. makes me not even want to support the company

The clearance prices price should be the regular price. How is a basic short sleeve blue T-shirt going for $24.99 as a clearance price?

Not their fault directly. Consumers want rotating sales. JCPenny's experiment showed that 'fair and square' pricing strategy (no discounts) doesn't drive sales.

Better to do high low pricing to make consumers feel like they're winning. It works better on non-rfd crowds.

Their outerwear is pretty good value. I got a good quality, 650 fill parka last sale for $100. Other items are usually overpriced.

Yup. An $50 item marked down 50% will outsell the same item straight priced for $20.

Just a reminder for those looking for kids clearance. The kids stuff doesn't show up on the Canadian site but you can use the US site to browse then change the .com to .ca to go to the Canadian site.

Example
US kids clearance item - https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/68700013/b ... Dk%20Smoke
CAD - https://www.eddiebauer.ca/p/68700013/bo ... Dk%20Smoke

This particular jacket comes down to $52 with the 60% off.

Thanks OP, been waiting for this to come up again. To all the ppl complaining about high reg prices, I can't speak to the entire product line here but I will say their flannel shirts are far better than anything you can find anywhere else. Compared to something like Uniqlo it's night and day. So to get 60% off clearance is a FIRE deal on these.

You have an issue with improperly attempting ellipsis usage.
