Edifier Canada Additional 20% off ALL Certified Refurbished products

I've been eyeing some Edifier active bluetooth speakers for a while, nothing fancy. Saw the sale and picked up the R1700BTS for $121.60+ tax. My friend got the R1850DB for $127+ tax. They also have the R1700BT for $115+ tax but the R1700BTS is a no brainer for $5 more. I was stuck debating between the R1700BTS and the R1850DB for a while but ended up choosing the R1700BTS for the bluetooth 5 isntead of 4.1, the controls on the side instead of the back, the nicer looking remote, and ultimately, just not a fan of the gloss black look.

These are budget speakers but reviews for them seem very good at their regular price points so I figured I would share this on here. They are certified refurbished though so avoid if that's not your cup of tea.

Thanks for the deal. Snatched a pair of R1700BT for a spare room (s was no longer available).

They are great speakers and an amazing bang for your buck!

Those Chinese companies are giving all the "audiophile" companies a nice run for their money. 10 years ago for that price range (115$), you would get pure garbage bookshelf speakers.

Their 500$+ offerings rival 1.5K$+ setups (I also own an S2000MKIII and Swans M200MKIII).

Good deal on these for sure, hard to beat for the money. If anyone is still looking for swans, Amazon.com is carrying them and does ship to Canada (not for free, but customs cleared)

I ordered these swans about a week ago, will be interesting to see how they stack up. They were randomly 20% off one day, couldn't resist......about $220 landed and taxed.
Haven't had any swans since I bought my m50w (still using at pc, they are great) and a long time before than m200mk1.

Stared at the R1280DBs in black for too long and it went OOS Crying Face ended up buying it in brown grain finish instead. Shame it won't match my black desk...

Still a steal at $122 shipped (ON). The BT + sub out was what made me finally willing to venture into the bookshelf speaker world to test it out - flexibility to upgrade and use it in different ways.

The black is back in stock. Which sub did you pair them with? is the sub enough from the speaker itself? I'm planning to use them in a condo.

Hmm 1280DB or 1700BT. I would have gone for the 1700BTs but not in stock.

What is the best bang for buck, small footprint speaker for a desk? Ideally with integrated circuits.

Is there anything in the refurbished section that could be used as a good main speaker setup, with occasional use as home theater? The S350DB seem ok, does anyone have any experience?

Also, if anyone is interested, I have an edifier mp700 bluetooth speaker I don't need, and feel free to PM me if you're looking for one.

just curious, compare to S2000 mkiii vs Swan M200M , which one is better?

I was looking at those two selection before.

Shame the s2000 mkiii aren't available as a refurb. I heard it was a decent step up in quality over the s2000pro.

Grabbed the black R1280DB's. Couldn't pass them up at this price. Thanks OP. Now to find a deal on Kanto stands and possibly a DAC or may try it direct from my laptop.

Not sure if wallet is safe here. Amazing price but not sure what to do with my current speakers... My only problem hope is to waffle on buying then have them go oos.

Vote up for amazing deal op.

What do you have now? At this price it is hard to beat the value of the Edifier's. Maybe a second set up?

Great deals, I bought a pair of 1850s last year and they're really good for the price.

Compared to my gf's Mackie CR-4 that were more expensive, the 1850 were much better sounding for cheaper.

Super happy with them, would buy again.

I'm looking for computer speakers with Bluetooth capability and a small footprint. Which of these would you recommend?
