Is this price for one or two speakers?

I'm seeing $99 on Amazon for two speakers. Not sure if the edifier $62 deal is for one or two?
It's a set of speakers either from Amazon or through Edifier, now you can only get it through Edifier.ca as Amazon hav raised the price.

I just received them and setup with Chromecast audio, very impressed. Does it do any harm to leave these speaker powered on ?

Active speakers are meant to stay Powered 24/7 therefore no harm at all, plus Edifier is sweet as they honour 2Yrs replaceable warranty.

Wouldn't this be using (some) power all the while?

Do these have a sleep mode or do we have to turn them off from the back each time?

As soon as I unplug the line in cable from my laptop the speakers make this buzzing noise. It only stops once I turn the volume all the way down or turn off the speakers. It also stops if I unplug the red and white cables on the back.

Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal.. Especially if you touch the end with your finger or another conducive surface. Turn the speakers off when unplugging to avoid that sound.
