I've had a cheap pair of Bluetooth headphones where the Bluetooth volume knob on the phone did nothing. So it's possibly a problem, but from what other people said, it might still work?

Picked it up via Amazon + 2% Ebates!

Does Ebates honour if it's not sold by Amazon?

These ones are an absolute steal at that price though.
Hard to compare monitors to non monitors. For sure the AV40 will be more revealing.

I asked him again. He said when he switches the mode from Wired to BT, it's either on or off. When he puts his phone to 1/5 volume, it's the same loudness as when he has it at 5/5. He has a Pixel3, if that matters. Or he could have a defective speaker and thought it was normal all this time. Neutral Face

I bought it anyway and it should arrive today. I'll let everyone know if nobody hasn't.

EDIT: Sorry to worry everyone, I just got mine and volume control from my phone WORKS!. Looks like it's either his speakers or phone has the issue.

Absolutely, the difference will be noticeable since they are bookshelf speakers; they have a larger woofer for better bass, better tweeters and is in stereo config. Only drawback is it requires a plug.

Just set them up. Can confirm that volume can't be adjusted from your device. I've tried my phone and two diffrent laptops but no dice.

No, because you need something that provides the audio signal processed for Atmost, and then something that has to codec to decode the signal. Speakers dont play any role unless they are delayed firing speakers meant to simulate ceiling speakers.
