Buddy of mine says lots of in game purchases. Do they affect the game play or are they cosmetic? Like am I gonna get my asked kicked by somebody who just drop a bunch of cash into the game or is balanced and can you still get good stuff by grinding out?

I bought into this game during Beta 1.0. Probably have 2-3000 hours in it, though I haven't played the last couple of years. Honestly, such a cool game, but you've got to be the right kind of person for it. And it is AMAZING in VR, if you've got an HMD. But don't worry, it's primarily marketed to non-VR players.

I’m trying to stay away from this. I used to be addicted to this game back on the zx80 spectrum days. Oh boy, the sleepless nights in front of that TV...

KC:D is such an amazing but poorly executed concept. There were many things I loved about it, mainly the realism, visuals and atmosphere but the gameplay is straight up garbage. Pretty much unplayable without mods/cheats and even with them it's still a chore to play. That said I was happy to try it free on Epic and I think a sequel with the gameplay fixed has huge potential

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a poor man's Skyrim knockoff although Skyrim did not have good combat to begin with.
