It's not a demo for the full game. It's a standalone "introduction" game.

Maybe this comes to consoles? I wish more games did this. For example, if Elden Ring had a playable contained area, I might get hooked and spend $80 when in reality the backlog is big and I'd much rather spend $40.

I know demos take up resources so even a timed trial (1-2 hr) that already forces a whole game installation can function the same way.

they don't make demo anymore as per say.
the new trend, prelude, they take a small portion of a game and throw it out for free so people can try it out.

we used to have "playable demo". but now that most games are free with a shop, they don't waste time making demos/prelude as it is pointless.
kinda the same thing at the end... anyway

Pretty sure this is not a demo, or even a portion of the game like some suggested. It's a separate prologue of the game played via visual novel style instead of the games first person camera angle. Either way, I'm buying the game after!

Well, this turned out to be extremely lame.. Just an anime style left-click fest. Apparently it's only a "visual novel".. ton of reading, no gameplay. Not sure how they think this will boost actual game sales!

To each their own? I'm interested in the lore / story and visual novel games have existed for a long while now too. I think it's cool that they're expanding the media format than just keeping it to the main game
