Epic now makes you agree to not sue them or be a part of any class action lawsuits against them. This is new

Wait what?! That seems odd.

Yup. I had to click on their "end user agreement" before I could add this game. They highlight in all CAPS at the beginning of it that you will not sue or be part of a class action lawsuit and any dispute you have with them goes into binding arbitration. They also agree to pay for this arbitration up to $10,000. You can not add this game without agreeing to this, I tried.

What are they gaining from giving out free games? Getting personal info?

That's strange, I didn't have to agree to it and it let me add as usual.

That's even weirder. Maybe they think I'm gonna sue them? Maybe others will chime in if they experience this as well. Who knows

I didn't have to do any of that... I clicked on GET, like I usually do, then confirmed the order for $0.00, and that was it.

I tried Maneater on Game Pass a little while back, and while it's kinda interesting and maybe a little fun for a few minutes, I could not get into it and uninstalled it after a couple of hours. Maybe I should give it another shot, I dunno...

Were you part of a previous class action with Epic? Maybe that's why?

lol... I had to google this -- apparently there was a class-action lawsuit over its use of randomized loot boxes in Fortnite's "Save the World" mode...

settlement happened over a year ago.

Is this your first time adding a free game in a long time? I didn't get this notification, but I get the free games every week so it's entirely possible that I agreed to this like a year ago and have totally forgotten. :)

If Hall and Oates isn't on the soundtrack to this game I will be disappointed

Reminds me of Ecco the Dolphin on Sega Genesis, but with a dark twist...
