EPP/Corporate Plans Renegotiate

Question, I am not sure if they were not being truthful, but I signed up for a Telus EPP plan through my work last October 2018. I pay 70$ a month plus tax and get 3gb, Calling&texting canada wide. I also paid 150 upfront for an S9 at the time as I had a previous EPP plan which had expired but my phone broke and needed a new one. I was told by telus EPP that they do not give any deals for EPP plans. I feel that this is a complete rip off of a plan given what is out there now. Is my only option to pay out the phone balance?

Two things:
1) You should talk to the Telus dealer you got this from (I think MOST EPP offers are done through dealers like SmartCell, Baka, etc) and see what the current EPP plans are, and
2) Why wouldn't Telus let you switch to an in-market plan without paying out the balance? I presume the EPP plans, unlike the corporate ones, are done on 2-year subsidy terms... but I think the bigger problem is that most of the better deals that you see around here are on BYOD plans and often through the mid-tier flanker brands like Koodo or Fido.

I would assume you need to pay out the phone balance or switch to a different EPP plan, which you should be able to without penalty. Read your terms of service, should be a section on switching plans. Not sure how EPP plans differ depending on employer but there was a big thread in hot deals for current epp plans for the big 3. The telus one is 20gb share plan for $68 with no overage charges (data throttled after limit). Log into your epp site or speak to whomever provided you the offer. If you just called into Bell, i suspect you just got a regular csr, not one for business.
