Great deal on a refurbished Epson 5040UB Projector with 4K Enhancement and HDR for $1497. Brand new one goes for $3,499.99. This is the cheapest you can buy a good 4k projector. I know its not native 4k but at this price point its a steal and your eyes won't tell the difference. The last time it was at this price it sold out in less than 24hrs. All refurbs come with a new lamp and your buying it straight from the manufacturer without the middle man.

Projection System: Epson 3LCD, 3-chip optical engine
Native Resolution: 1080p (1920 x 1080) with 4K Enhancement

Damn that's a decent projector. I actually had a script set up that used to monitor the site for when it was available.
I bought the BenQ2050 two years ago. Haven't been following but I can't wait for an affordable 4k projector.

your rca projector is most likely a native 480p
I tried the cheap led projector like you have and jumping to a native led 720p at least was a big difference. I only watch projector in the dark and mostly for the netflix and cable so I dont mind.
it can most likely project on as big of screen but you will only be able to see in the dark.
even if it says 2000 lumens it will be only 50-100lumens.
compared to true 2500lumens.
